7 April, 2026

Barcelona, March 23, 2026 – As part of the international trade fair Alimentaria 2026, the international launch of Argentina Alimenta took place with a strong turnout, introducing a new strategic platform aimed at positioning Argentina as a key player in global food trade.

The event, held at the Acciona Room of Hall 5 at the Alimentaria Hub in Fira Barcelona, brought together institutional representatives, business leaders, and diplomatic authorities, consolidating a shared message: Argentina has the conditions, scale, and vision needed to establish itself as a global agri-food powerhouse.

Under the concept “Argentina Alimenta: trust, capacity, and global projection,” the presentation highlighted the country’s structural strengths and export potential within an international context where demand continues to grow for high-quality, traceable, and value-added food products.

A Shared Vision: Argentina as a Global Export Platform

During the opening session, representatives from Fira Barcelona International highlighted the importance of integrating Argentina into the major international business networks of the food industry.

For her part, Carla Martín Bonito, President of COPAL, stated:

The trade fair, which will take place in Buenos Aires in November 2026, aims to become a strategic meeting point for the entire value chain, bringing together the public and private sectors with a strong international focus.

Institutional Support and International Projection

The closing remarks were delivered by the Argentine Ambassador to Spain, Wenceslao Bunge Saravia, who emphasized:

“Argentina has a historic opportunity to establish itself as a reliable global food supplier. Initiatives such as Argentina Alimenta are key to strengthening our exports and expanding our international presence.”

A Strong Step Toward Global Positioning
