Argentina Alimenta 2026 Officially Launched at La Rural, Buenos Aires

On May 19, the official launch of Argentina Alimenta 2026 took place at La Rural, Buenos Aires, marking the beginning of the inaugural edition of the international trade fair that will bring together the leading players from Argentina’s and the global food industry.

The event welcomed national authorities, institutional representatives, industry leaders, and companies from across the entire food industry value chain, with a strong focus on innovation, growth, and new business opportunities for the sector.

The opening remarks were delivered by Pablo Quirno, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Argentine Republic, who highlighted the strategic importance of ARGENTINA ALIMENTA in strengthening Argentina’s international position within the global food industry.

“Argentina Alimenta was created so that international buyers, distributors, importers, and investors can come to Argentina and see firsthand why our country has the potential to become one of the key pillars of global food security. This event aims to showcase the quality of our food products, the sophistication of our technology, the efficiency of our value chain, and the reliability of a nation capable of ensuring a stable and high-quality food supply.”

Carlos Solanet, Commercial Director of La Rural Buenos Aires, also emphasized the importance of creating a dedicated platform where the food industry can exchange ideas, shape its future, and foster new business opportunities.

“As organizers, our goal is to provide the food industry and COPAL with a dedicated space to host a true industry congress, showcase the latest trends, explore future opportunities, and discuss the policies, markets, and strategies that will shape the future of the food industry. At ARGENTINA ALIMENTA, participants will find a genuine platform for business and networking, as well as an ideal setting where buyers from around the world can connect with the industry.”

The event was also attended by Carla Martín Bonito, President of COPAL; Diego Sucalesca, Executive President of PromArgentina; and Ricard Zapatero, Director of International Business at Fira de Barcelona.

Throughout the presentation, the speakers emphasized the importance of creating an international platform that strengthens Argentina’s position within the global food industry, promotes exports, and fosters stronger connections among companies, producers, institutions, and international markets.

Argentina Alimenta 2026 will take place November 17–19 at La Rural, Buenos Aires, and will feature:

* Dedicated spaces for innovation and strategic networking
