Barcelona, March 23, 2026 – As part of the Alimentaria 2026 international trade fair, the international launch of Argentina Alimenta—a new strategic platform designed to position Argentina as a key player in the global food trade—was held to a large audience.
The event, held in the Acciona Room in Hall 5 of the Alimentaria Hub at Fira Barcelona, brought together leading figures from the institutional, business, and diplomatic sectors, reinforcing a shared message: Argentina has the conditions, scale, and vision to establish itself as a global agri-food powerhouse.
Under the theme “Argentina Alimenta: Trust, Capacity, and Global Reach,” the presentation highlighted the country’s structural strengths and export potential in an international context that demands high-quality food, traceability, and added value.

The trade show, which will take place in Buenos Aires in November 2026, aims to establish itself as a strategic meeting point for the entire value chain, bringing together the public and private sectors with a strong international focus.
Institutional support and international reach
The closing remarks were delivered by the Argentine Ambassador to Spain, Wenceslao Bunge Saravia, who noted: “Argentina has a historic opportunity to establish itself as a reliable global food supplier. Initiatives like Argentina Alimenta are key to boosting our exports and strengthening our international presence.”

A decisive step toward global positioning
